SMO Review: Dom Kennedy - Get Home Safely

Dom Kennedy and OPM continue to bring West Coast Hip-Hop to the forefront of the culture. With the 17-track Get Home Safely album in the streets for a couple of weeks, we've gotten to digest the project for what it is, in a more complete form. Read the full review after the jump.
Dom Kennedy has always brought "the real" to the table within his projects. The one talent that he executes very well is making music that none other than himself can duplicate. From beat selection to lyrical ability to flow, Dom Kennedy is the originator of his music. With this recent project Get Home Safely, we hear an even more personal story, compared to his recent projects. You can tell by the quality of this work that Dom Kennedy strongly knew what he wanted to do. With bangers like "17", "After School", "Pleeze" featuring Nipsey Hussle and "Dominic" give the project tremendous energy and feeling. From start to finish, Get Home Safely offers music that can get the average citizen through their repetitive work week or for a student going through the troubles and stresses of an institution. We highly recommend you purchase Dom Kennedy's Get Home Safely here.
