One of hip-hop's most talented artist, Big K.R.I.T., clearly does not get the credit he deserves in the music industry. With artist putting out mediocre, down-played tracks everyday, artist with real content and creativity get looked over. Read this entire entry after the jump.

Now, before I actually go in-depth on this topic, I want
to acknowledge that this has been a thought in my mind years ago ever since he
has grown and became to make a better name throughout his music and his wisdom
of his creativity, but let’s get on to the real food for thought here. Big
K.R.I.T (King Remembered in Time, if most do not know the acronym) has been
growing into a definition I’ll call as an ARTIST. From the beats he produces on
all his projects, to the lyrics he progresses throughout each verse from
standout tracks of my favorites, “Lions and Lambs”, “My Sub”, “Glass House”,
“Praying Man”, “Moons & Stars” and the track from his new and recent free
album “Good 2Gether”. Projects such as “Return of 4eva”, “KRIT Wuz Here”, “4eva
N’ a Day”, his critically acclaimed album “Live From The Underground” and the
new free album I mentioned “King Remembered in Time” have all had phenomenal
production and creative skills, from the storylines of how deep you go with
down south mentality and also from the soul point of view, to the knockin’
808’s and the melodies that portray the most dominant feature in why Big
K.R.I.T. keeps getting better every single song he puts out from the soul. Not
too many “rappers” out there can do what he can, because he is true to himself
and true to his supporters through anything he can possibly finish. Looking at
the generation nowadays, his message is continuing to reach through the nation
and also letting people know that this is not some radio play, no money
involved, no label surpassing his ideas, and his transcending steps to become a
soon to be icon. If you ask me, this is long overdue to see how much success he
puts in all of his projects since a come up, up until now and he has yet to
even receive some acknowledge from the Grammy’s or any other big award that he
rightfully deserves. This goes to show that a lot of “huge” Ceremonies don’t
take the time to shine a light on the ARTISTS out here that do their own thing
and manage to get praise from true supporters because most industries only base
a good Artist on radio play, sales, and how many “numbers” he can do within a
year’s span. It’s not about that to people who care for a not rushed work of
music, it’s about listening to anything and from 10 years later, me or anybody
can go back to that song and play it all day and night as if it had just been
released that day in age. My whole point being in this topic is: Big K.R.I.T. needs
more than just a pat on the back for a job well done he has been doing for
these past years now. Take a listen to what music should sound like, not what
you want it to sound like. There really is a huge difference in that, but as
for Big K.R.I.T., the only thing he never puts in his music is what’s false.
You hear nothing, but the truth; nevertheless, it’ll always touch your soul and
will never put you out of your place, as he does significantly lightly, but
surely in a song called “The Vent” “If it doesn’t touch my soul, then I can’t
listen to it”. I hope others would understand my POV on this because this has
to be a topic of discussion somewhere else, so this concludes my point that Big
K.R.I.T indeed, deserves a Grammy for his accomplishments and self-creations.
Peace.
