SMO Review: King Chip - 44108

King Chip recently dropped a free album that we felt was slept on by too many. The project has more ups than downs and offers heavy verses from Kanye West, Scarface, and Ray Cash. Read the full review after the jump.
44108 is the area code for the Cleveland, Ohio are, giving the title significant meaning. The 19-track project has all the right ingredients and properties. Having production from Lex Luger, WZRD, Travi$ Scott, Cardo give a lot of substance for King Chip to place his work over. For example the track "7AM On St.Clair" produced by Cardo, provides vivid detail about Chip and Ray Cash's experience in Cleveland. Another highlight off the free album is the Lex Luger produced "Stand Up King". This track is very direct, raw, and holds a hidden track featuring Freddie Gibbs and Kanye West that many would enjoy. The favorite from the mixtape is the track "Blk On Blk". Another one produced by Cardo that has an elevated, unique sound. Among the 19 tracks on 44108, you have a wide selection of dopeness and creativity. We recommend that you download the Cleveland representer's free album below.
