The Atlanta duo composed of MC's DavE & L$M11 a.k.a FatKidsBrotha, out of the Two-9 collective recently smacked the streets with their second installment to the Eastside Paradise mixtape series. Read the entire review after the jump.
The "New Atlanta" is here to stay. The style that FKB brought to the table with EPII is something different and refreshing. EPII offers 14-tracks that have a heavy underground hip-hop influence, but emphasizes on heavy bass and hard drums. The gritty, street filled project has a lot of likeable tracks, one that we want to focus on first is "Drive Motherf***** Drive" featuring Snubnose Frankenstein. The bass on this track hits very hard if you have a vehicle or the speakers to play it. The track is very catchy and can be attracted to many groups of people. Another highlight off the project is "Pusha", which is a single with a fly visual. "Pusha" may be our favorite out of the vast choices songs. From the drums to the chorus to L$M11 and DavE bars absolutely aid in glorifying this track. There are other tracks that measure up to "Pusha", for example "Last Two Orgy", "Pair Of Dice", "Discreet (Interlude)", "Magic" featuring Miloh Smith, I could go but that's pretty much the entire project. It's so refreshing to hear this free album from beginning to end due to the fact that everything about it is pure dope. We must give the duo much credit along with everyone else who is a part Two-9 for providing listeners with young, fresh sounds.
