Mixtape Review: Dizzy Wright - The Golden Age

Las Vegas native Dizzy Wright feeds music listeners with his newest project The Golden Age. The mixtape is a very complete body of work, displaying a soulful sound, enlightened by Dizzy's passionate lyrics. Read the entire review of The Golden Age after the jump.

What this mixtape brings to the table is funk, soul, and addressing a lot of current topics among our youth. For example, in the track "Progression" you hear references to the "twisted media" in our country and Trayvon Martin as well. The word choice of Dizzy Wright is what gives his music soul. Due to his interest in writing poetry reflects very well in this project. The Golden Age has  a wide variety of tracks and sounds. From the upbeat, semi-boastful "Still Movin'", "Step Yo Game Up", "B.T.T.", or "Fashion" featuring Honey Cocaine and Kid Ink to more message filled tracks like "New History", "The Perspective" featuring Chel'le, or "Your Type". Overall, The Golden Age can be taken for a few different meanings depending on your perspective, but that's what makes this mixtape good. We highly recommend you give this project a listen and some thought.
