One the most slept on young artist in hip hop today is Sir Michael Rocks. With the recent release of While You Wait..., Mikey Rocks holds us over for his highly anticipated album Banco. Read the full review of this project after the jump.
Where shall we begin with this mixtape? From track one to to track ten is pure excellence. Great lyrical performance, nice beat selection, and dope features make this a complete mixtape. Opening the project with The Freshmen produced track "Don't Forget" gives you an insight on how Sir Michael Rocks is feeling about his career and music at the moment. The next track to stumble upon is the Syk Sense produced track "Madness" featuring Mac Miller. Maybe my favorite song off this project, Banco and Mac coexist very well and I'm looking forward to hearing more music from the two in the future. Another highlight track is called "In A Minute" featuring the talents Da$h and Ab-Soul. You will hear a ton of crafty bars between the three artist. Closing out the mixtape is the song called "The Lobby" featuring Loverance. This track is very smooth and cool for those summer nights in your car.
