Niko G4 drops a new solo project called Roll The Dice and is this week's "Mixtape Of the Week". After making noise with his track "Can I?" off OPM's Young Nation compilation project, we finally see that the young MC has talent worth listening to. Read the full review after the jump.
"City Of Angels" is the opening number for this project. It has a mellow, medicated sound produced by Supermiles and is without a doubt one the best number's off this project. Continuing his smooth vibe throughout the mixtape, we come the track "West$ide Player $hit". Produced by Ashton, Niko G4 boast a little about his player lifestyle and how it's only going to get better. The next highlight off this body of work is "Shoppin'" featuring Dom Kennedy and Jay 305. Ty$ does a good job producing this track, giving it that vintage high fashion sound. The vibe of this entire project is very relaxed, but straight forward, as displayed in the track "Keep It Real" featuring Skeme. The best song in my opinion is the closing number "Don't Do What Theze Niggaz Do". Speaking real for four minutes over the Audio Gold produced beat really shows off some of Niko G4's lyrical ability. Overall this project is very impressive and is a recommend for music heads. We give this a three of of five O's.
