Mixtape Review: Casey Veggies - Life Changes

The young California native continues to grind coming to a point of Life Changes. For Veggies and the Peas & Carrots team you see a more mature, finesse, and skilled talent coming from all members. It shows as their visuals, music, and fashion look very complete and clean cut. Read the full review after the jump.

The title track "Life Changes", produced by The Futuristiks & Dawuan Parker, gives the project life. The track opens with a very talented artist by the name of Phil Beaudreau, and then goes into very mellow sound as Veggies says. "how is anybody going to hear it if I don't record it". This track is a highlight off the mix tape not just because it's the opener, but because it has meaning and soul behind it. Continuing down the project  we come to a track called "She In My Car" featuring one of Casey Veggies OG's Dom Kennedy. Produced by DJ Dahi, the man behind Dom's summer anthem "My Type Of Party and Kendrick Lamar's "Money Trees", this beat has California written all over it. Casey and Dom are not new to killing tracks together. They just continue to take it to the next level along with their success. Another highlight track is "Faces", which is the single off the project. This song is produced by the amazing Rob Halladay, giving it the right to be the first single. Explaining where Veggies originated and where he is headed is the main topic of the track. With a sexy chick by his side and fashion from another country on his back, life couldn't get any sweeter for then young MC. Overall this project is one of the best of the early 2013 year. All the tracks blend together well and the subject matter on each track is relatable to most young people. We give this project three O's out of five. How do you feel about the tape?
